SMA’s Athletic Department prides itself on developing the whole student athlete by meeting the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of each student. With 41% of students involved in athletics, Belles are provided the opportunity to train, compete, and build life-long bonds. SMA team culture is defined by a strong foundation of important life skills - including leadership, discipline, and camaraderie - that serves Belles well in college and beyond.
SMA has seven highly competitive teams within the Camino Del Rey Association, Governed by California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), including basketball, soccer, track & field, cross country, softball, volleyball, and cheer. SMA athletic teams compete in the CIF Southern Section. Teams consistently advance to playoffs, especially track & field, winning various league and CIF championship titles. Numerous girls have received athletic scholarships and are competing at the collegiate level and beyond.
